As patron of honour, Prime Minister Janez Janša attended a ceremony in Portorož today to mark the conclusion of the 31st Journalists’ World Tennis Championship and a VIP Golf Tournament for journalists. He congratulated members of the press from 18 countries on their achievements and wished them a pleasant stay in Slovenia.

According to Mr Janša, good results in both journalism and sports cannot be achieved without a great deal of effort, energy and knowledge. In this respect, both pursuits are equally demanding. The PM wished all participants every success in the future and hoped they would continue to work well and professionally, be it in journalism or in sports.
