The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia and current President of the European Council, Mr Janez Janša, today received the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Mr Hashim Thaci, who is participating in the 11th international WDR Europa Forum in Ljubljana.

Prime Minister Thaci said he appreciated Slovenia’s recognition of Kosovo, outlining the current the situation in Kosovo to Prime Minister Janša. They agreed that, in cooperation with the Kosovo government and the international community, efforts should continue to secure Kosovo’s long-term stability as well as its democratic and economic development to the benefit of all its inhabitants. Prime Minister Janša also stressed the importance of good regional cooperation and the European perspective for all countries in the region.
