The Prime Minister Meets the Leadership of the Slovenian Red Cross |

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, met the President of the Slovenian Red Cross (SRC), Janez Remškar, and the Secretary-General, Srečko Zajc, who presented the work of the organisation. They said they were making great efforts to restore the respect that the SRC once enjoyed.

The PM thanked his guests for their efforts and work, and stressed the indispensable humanitarian role of the Red Cross. The guests informed the PM of the problems the Slovenian Red Cross faces and the opportunities arising in international campaigns. The PM called for coordinated action by all Slovenian humanitarian organisations and expressed his support for the SRC’s participation in international activities. He also assured the SRC representatives that the Government would help the SRC to solve its current problems.
