Prime Minister Janez Janša receives Mohamed El Baradei |

The Prime Minister Janez Janša met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and 2005 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Mohamed El Baradei, who visited Slovenia following PM's invitation. They discussed preparations for Slovenia's presidency of the Board of Governors of the IAEA and current issues regarding nuclear safety.

The Prime Minister explained that they exchanged views on issues regarding Iran's and North Korea's nuclear programmes. With regard to Iran's response to the offer made by five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany, the PM said that the contents of the letter do not mean a step backwards, but present the opportunity to settle the issue by diplomatic means.
