During the international conference Caspian Outlook 2008, the Prime Minister Janez Janša met with the Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration George Baramidze to discuss Georgia's Euro-Atlantic perspective.

Both men positively assessed the development of EU neighbourhood policy and its significance for the countries of South Caucasus. They expect that Georgia will be able to conclude an Action Plan by the end of this year. The Prime Minister stressed his support to Georgia's effort to continue democratic and economic reforms, and to establish closer connections with Euro-Atlantic institutions.
