The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms Alenka Bratušek, attended the ceremony on the occasion of the opening of the new premises of Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, and Faculty of Computer and Information Science in Ljubljana and visited the tripartite building that will open its doors to the study process in October 2014. In her address, the Prime Minister stressed that today's opening was a part of efforts "whose aim is to let the society know about the extreme importance of the potential of the young. We will do anything to help the young to acquire relevant knowledge and skills, to fully develop their capabilities, to be able to live from the results of their work and make an impact on the society as a whole."

She stressed the importance of links among sectors to be established by future scientists active in industry and economy; if offered good conditions, they can create new enterprises with high-technology products and new jobs. She underlined that the Government has, in the present term, made a lot of efforts to strengthen the links among the universities of Slovenia on the one hand and among the research sphere, education and economy on the other, and expressed her belief "that the cooperation of the academic sphere, science and young people will lead to achievements that will essentially improve many aspects of living in the capital as well as in the country as a whole.”

The Prime Minister congratulated and thanked everybody who enabled "this beautiful tripartite building to stand before us today." She also addressed students, lecturers and researchers who will perform their work on the new premises and expressed her belief that this beautiful environment would further stimulate and develop their creativity. "I wish you good chemistry and a good flow of information," concluded the Prime Minister.
