Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek today attended the ceremony in Lipica on the occasion of 66the anniversary of the Reunification of the Primorska region with the Motherland. In her address, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and personally, the Prime Minister offered her congratulations to all citizens of the Republic of Slovenia on the national holiday saying: "This year we celebrate not only the brave manifesto of the Supreme Plenum of the Liberation Front of the Slovenian People but also 70 years since the establishment of Partisan 9th Corps (IX. korpus), the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Overseas Brigades (Prekomorske brigade) and 70th anniversary of partisan teachers. I express my appreciation and my deepest respect to all those from those great times who are with us today. "

The Prime Minister further said that the openness and economic drive of the Primorska region resulted in the "openness" in other areas of social life, ranging from the bank, the port to the culture, media and entertainment.  "Slovenia today definitely needs such open and future focused Primorska region  full of gusty winds, summer ideas, business opportunities and pleasant people. Somehow we lack all of this.  We live in dangerous times and very often, we make them even more difficult by neglect. Then, it is worth remembering brave manifestos and voices of the tragically deceased." In addition, Prime Minister Bratušek mentioned the current crisis and pointed out that despite difficulties the crisis brought about, we had to keep the same ranking of values and appreciate acts and not words that were often negative in these times.  At the close of her address, the Prime Minister expressed her satisfaction with the recent meeting of three prime ministers in Venice when they discussed many significant issues "that will be noticed on all sides of the borders".
