Prime Minister Pahor offered condolences to the people of Poland and to Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, offered his condolences to the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, following the tragic plane crash which killed Polish President Lech Kaczynski and 87 other people on board, among them also a number of high representatives of the Polish Government and the economy.

In his statement to the press on the Šmarjetna gora hill near the city of Kranj, Prime Minister Pahor stressed that under the leadership of Kaczynski, Poland settled the relations with its neighbours and experienced strong development impetus. “Kaczynski was an element of this success and today we have lost a friend and Poland has lost a leader”.

The Slovenian Prime Minister also expressed his condolences to the people of Poland. A telephone conversation is scheduled today between Prime Minister Pahor and Polish Prime Minister Tusk.
