Prime Minister Pahor first expressed his satisfaction with high attendance and went on to say that it is quite important that the Government hears both positive and negative observations by the Council members. The latter gave support to the document and emphasised that a consistent implementation of the strategy in all areas, as well as the manner of the implementation of individual laws would be crucial. Mr Pahor said that it is particularly important to achieve a majority support for concrete proposals or laws, which will be or have been drafted according to the exit strategy. "It is of utmost importance that these decisions be implemented, as recently, we have been faced with implementation deficit. We adopt a decision and then the process stalls. Therefore, we will apply a scoreboard system that may prove a good method to resolve this problem. The system will enable the Government to indicate the pursued goals or changes that will subsequently be moved from the beginning to the end of the implementation. The scoreboard will display the level of our progress", emphasised Prime Minister Pahor, adding that this was a highly significant decision for the Government's performance.

At the close of today's session of the Strategic Economic Council, Prime Minister Pahor made a brief statement to the press regarding the outcome of the session, the previous coalition meeting and today's visit of the Slovenian Tax Administration (DURS), and answered a number of topical questions.
