After the meeting, Prime Minister Pahor explained that the Government plans to discuss the Act in January 2010.  With additional consultations prior to submission of the Act for parliamentary procedure, the Government wishes to harmonise the wording of the Act to the best possible extent to avoid key issues that would need to be resolved in the National Assembly.   The Prime Minister continued by stressing “that the Health Services Act is a very demanding part of the process of structural reform and an introduction to very difficult times, when agreement will need to be reached on four or five structural reforms."
