Prime Minister Pahor hosts Slavko Avsenik's birthday reception

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today hosted a reception on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Slovenian musician and composer Slavko Avsenik, at Villa Podrožnik. The Slovenian Prime Minister congratulated Mr Avsenik on his birthday and wished him good health and personal happiness.

In his brief address, Prime Minister Pahor highlighted Slavko Avsenik's greatest achievements, which still today deserve admiration worldwide.   At the end of the reception, the Prime Minister stressed that Slavko Avsenik still inspires young musicians today.   Mr Avsenik thanked Prime Minister Pahor for his good wishes and pointed out that he and the Avseniks would have never achieved such success without his brother Vilko.
