Prime Minister Pahor receives French designer Philippe Starck

The Slovenian Prime Minister, Borut Pahor, today received the internationally recognised designer, Phillipe Starck, the Slovenian entrepreneur Janez Škrabec and their colleagues in the government building. Mr Starck and Mr Škrabec introduced a joint project to Prime Minister Pahor – Riko hiše Starck with Riko – undertaken by Mr Starck and the Slovenian company Riko.

Mr Starck presented the general outline of the project and emphasised that he had been searching for a partner all over the world for his "idea of a house", adding that he was delighted to find one in Slovenia.

The French designer thanked Mr Pahor for the reception and expressed his enthusiasm for "a country as beautiful as Slovenia". Prime Minister Pahor commended the concept of the project and Mr Starck's idea of a "democratic ecological architecture" and at the same time expressed his hope that more projects of this type were underway in Slovenia.
