Prime Minister Pahor meets American President Obama

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, met the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, at the NATO summit in Strasbourg yesterday.

In Strasbourg and Kehl, Prime Minister Pahor was accompanied by an official delegation from Slovenia, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Žbogar, and the Minister of Defence, Ljubica Jelušič. At this year’s NATO summit, devoted to the 60th anniversary of NATO, the participants confirmed their commitment to the basic principles of the Alliance as set out in the Washington Treaty, highlighting collective defence as the foundation on which NATO will build in the future. Albania and Croatia were also welcomed to their first NATO summit as new members of the Alliance.
