Prime Minister Pahor meets President of the EIB

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today met the President of the European Investment Bank, Philippe Maystadt. Mr Pahor and Dr Maystadt spoke at some length about the current financial and economic situation, and exchanged views on possible solutions. The two interlocutors underlined the importance of staying optimistic despite the turbulent times and taking decisive action, particularly emphasising the urgent need to face the bank crisis and at the same time ensure that the European Union Member States take all the right steps to most effectively resolve the situation.
