"Both the Government and I personally intend to ensure that young people will have the opportunity to give their very best – intellectually and otherwise – to leave their mark on the Development Dialogue with their dreams and visions of the future," asserted Prime Minister Pahor after the meeting. In this context, he also stated his conviction that today's younger generation have both the power and ambition to do this. "The Government is willing to open all doors to young people in this endeavour. We only ask that they step forward."
The representatives of the youth organisations availed themselves of this opportunity to express their satisfaction with the decision to make them part of the Development Dialogue. They also welcomed an agreement to establish a council for youth issues, believing that such a council would allow them to be involved in decision-making processes of concern to young people.
