The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, Janez Janša, today congratulated the new President of the Serbian Government, Mirko Cvetković, and wished him every success and satisfaction in fulfilling such a responsible mission.

According to PM Janša, Slovenia is very keen on building good relations with the Republic of Serbia. During its Presidency of the Council of the European Union, for example, Slovenia worked very hard to help speed up Serbia's integration into the EU. The recent signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Serbia should therefore be seen as a mutual success, said the Slovene Prime Minister.

Slovenia will continue to provide consistent support to Serbia's Euro-Atlantic integration, offering any kind of assistance the country should need, concluded PM Janez Janša in his letter of congratulation.
