Prime Minister Janez Janša to visit Japan in April

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia and current President of the European Council, Mr Janez Janša, will be paying an official visit to Japan from 21 to 24 April 2008 at the invitation of the Prime Minister of Japan, Mr Yasuo Fukuda. He will not only have an individual meeting with his host, Mr Fukuda, but will also be received by His Imperial Majesty, the Emperor Akihito.

 

In his capacity as President of the European Council, Mr Janša will also be attending the 17th EU-Japan Summit.

 

The Government of the Republic of Slovenia views this visit at the highest level as an excellent opportunity to strengthen cooperation both bilaterally and within multilateral organisations and arenas.
